Simpli5 is a clear aligner orthodontic system comprised of five clear aligners that gradually straighten teeth. You can use this system if you want to correct mild crowding or spacing of your teeth.
What are Simpli5 aligners?
They are custom-made removable aligners that are designed to align teeth over time. They are made in a special dental laboratory according to a specific treatment plan formulated using impressions and images of your mouth. During treatment you will receive five aligners, or ten for both arches, which are worn for 3-4 weeks at a time until the treatment is complete.
How does Simpli5 work?
The aligners are designed to apply light pressure to teeth to gradually straighten them. After 3-4 weeks of wearing an aligner, the teeth will have moved and the aligner has no more useful pressure. At this point you would move onto the next aligner in the sequence.
Benefits of Simpli5
The main benefit is that the aligners are discreet due to the clear plastic material used, they are removable and able to be taken out for eating, drinking and cleaning your teeth, and they are also much more comfortable than traditional metal braces.
Because the treatment is intended for minor orthodontic issues the treatment time is short and often complete within 15-20 weeks. Simpli5 is also often cheaper than some other clear tray aligner systems.
Stage 1: Your Glasgow Simpli5 dentist will carry out a thorough examination to make sure that you are suitable for treatment. Impressions and photos will then be taken.
Stage 2: The aligners are created and returned to your Skye Dental Group dentist to be fitted accordingly.
Stage 3: You will have regular visits to monitor the progress of the treatment.
What is the treatment time?

Can I get the treatment?
The treatment is only suitable for patients who have minor orthodontic problems. If you have more complex needs we will be happy to discuss other treatment options with you.
What is the cost of Simpli5?
The cost of treatment is dependent on the individual case, but Simpli5 is less expensive than other invisible aligner systems. Your dentist will explain the costs to you during a consultation.
